Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Boom Team Inc. in an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our kitchen operations.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Cooking and Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods in accordance with our menu and standards.
- Menu Planning: Work with the kitchen team to plan and prepare menus that meet the needs of our customers.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that the kitchen is stocked with the necessary supplies and ingredients.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train junior cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and safely.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in cooking and kitchen operations, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. You must also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift heavy objects.
Work Setting: The successful candidate will work in a busy restaurant kitchen, preparing and cooking food for customers. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding.
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation is required to travel to and from work.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This role requires the ability to work in a physically demanding environment, standing for extended periods, and lifting heavy objects. You must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask effectively.
Personal Suitability: We are looking for a team player with excellent communication and leadership skills. You must also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing situations.
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment is required for this role. A permanent full-time position is available.
Language of Work: English is the primary language of work for this role.
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week.
