We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychiatrist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Forensic Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing assessment and treatment services to individuals involved with the criminal courts in the region.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals referred by the court or probation services
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address the mental health needs of offenders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide care and support to individuals in correctional facilities and in the community
- Provide expert testimony in court or at CCRB hearings as required
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of forensic mental health services
- Training in forensic psychiatry
- Ability to work as a fully qualified psychiatrist in Canada
- Eligibility to practice medicine in Alberta
- Fee-for-service remuneration
