Physiotherapy Specialist

Reporting to the Client Services Manager - Rehabilitation Services, the Physiotherapist will operate with a high degree of independence as a member of a multidisciplinary regional rehabilitation team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of rehabilitation services
  • Use a client-centred, goal-oriented approach for children and/or adult populations

The incumbent will participate in the delivery of assessment, direct intervention, consultation, and public/parent/caregiver education and training within a variety of settings, including acute care, outpatient, long-term care, client's home, school, and other community settings.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision and training for students and provisional members
  • Participate in the education of other healthcare professionals
  • Exercise initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods, and action to be taken on unusual matters

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Baccalaureate Degree in Physiotherapy (BMR –PT) or equivalent entry-level requirement in Physiotherapy
  • Active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba (CPM)
  • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Outlook/Email
