About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate physiotherapist to join our team at Seven Oaks General Hospital in Winnipeg. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.

Job Overview

This term position involves providing high-quality physiotherapy services, including consultation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention implementation, and evaluation. You will work closely with clients to maintain optimal function, prevent disability, and promote well-being. Your expertise will also be applied to education and guidance for other healthcare providers, students, and professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Consult with clients to understand their needs and develop personalized physiotherapy plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose and treat physical impairments.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to improve client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide education and training to students, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Recent and relevant clinical experience in physiotherapy.
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in physiotherapy from an accredited Canadian university program or approved equivalent.
  • Registration on the Active Practice Register of the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba.
  • Membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (preferred).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training in accordance with employer policy.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
  • Knowledge of physiological, social, cultural, and economic aspects of client care.
  • Ability to organize and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Computer literacy suitable for the setting.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods without resting.
  • Demonstrate safe and effective body mechanics while working with clients.
  • Able to safely transfer large and/or heavy clients with limited or no weight-bearing capabilities.
  • Must have adequate motor coordination or dexterity for therapeutic techniques and manipulation of activities.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $38,925 - $45,119 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. The estimated salary for this role is approximately $41,296 per year.
