Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Operational Policies: Create and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of our hotel, including staff management, guest services, and facilities maintenance.
- Negotiate with Suppliers: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective provision of materials and services.
- Front Desk Management: Supervise and train front desk staff to provide exceptional guest service and ensure that all guest needs are met.
- Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and make recommendations for cost savings and revenue growth.
- Maintenance and Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our hotel facilities, including repairs, renovations, and capital projects.
- Staff Management: Supervise and train staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional guest service.
- Guest Relations: Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and work to resolve issues promptly and fairly.
- Special Requests: Assist guests with special needs, such as wheelchair accessibility or dietary requirements.
- Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules to ensure that our hotel is adequately staffed at all times.
- Computer and Technology: Utilize MS Excel and MS Office to manage and analyze data, and to communicate with staff and guests.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on providing exceptional guest service.
- Personal Qualities: Demonstrate a client-focused approach, flexibility, and initiative in all aspects of your work.
- Education: College or CEGEP diploma.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in hotel management or a related field.
- Work Setting: Hotel, motel, or resort environment.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 35 hours per week.
