**Salary:**

The successful candidate can expect an estimated salary range of $70,000-$90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and productivity. This is a commissioned position, and your earnings will reflect your hard work and dedication.

**Job Description:**

As an Automotive Service Technician at OpenRoad Volkswagen Burnaby, you will be responsible for:

  • Receiving repair orders from dispatch and performing work efficiently and accurately, adhering to dealership and factory standards;
  • Communicating with parts department to obtain necessary parts;
  • Examining vehicles to determine additional safety or service work required;
  • Saving and tagging parts if jobs are under warranty or requested by customers;
  • Informing the Service Advisor immediately of any additional work needed or completed outside the promised time frame;
  • Maintaining documentation of work performed and ensuring accurate records;
  • Road-testing vehicles to quality-check work performed and reporting discrepancies to the Service Manager;
  • Attending factory-sponsored training classes to stay up-to-date with technical bulletins;

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A working knowledge of automotive equipment;
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for delivering high-quality work;
  • A self-motivated and organized individual with excellent interpersonal skills;
  • A valid British Columbia driver's license with a clean driving abstract;
  • Availability to work shift Saturdays;
  • European experience is preferred.
