**Salary:**
The successful candidate can expect an estimated salary range of $70,000-$90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and productivity. This is a commissioned position, and your earnings will reflect your hard work and dedication.
**Job Description:**
As an Automotive Service Technician at OpenRoad Volkswagen Burnaby, you will be responsible for:
- Receiving repair orders from dispatch and performing work efficiently and accurately, adhering to dealership and factory standards;
- Communicating with parts department to obtain necessary parts;
- Examining vehicles to determine additional safety or service work required;
- Saving and tagging parts if jobs are under warranty or requested by customers;
- Informing the Service Advisor immediately of any additional work needed or completed outside the promised time frame;
- Maintaining documentation of work performed and ensuring accurate records;
- Road-testing vehicles to quality-check work performed and reporting discrepancies to the Service Manager;
- Attending factory-sponsored training classes to stay up-to-date with technical bulletins;
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- A working knowledge of automotive equipment;
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for delivering high-quality work;
- A self-motivated and organized individual with excellent interpersonal skills;
- A valid British Columbia driver's license with a clean driving abstract;
- Availability to work shift Saturdays;
- European experience is preferred.
