Job Title: Automotive Systems Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Automotive Systems Technician to join our team at Crompton Brothers Automotive. As an Automotive Systems Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
  • Provide customer service

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Green job that involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes
  • Support for persons with disabilities, including participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities
  • Support for newcomers and refugees, including participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
  • Support for youths, including participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment
  • Support for Indigenous people, including participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
  • Support for visible minorities, including participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities
