Job Summary

This position ensures the proper functioning of computer equipment for the entire company. The person responsible will also manage the inventory and procure all computer equipment for the IT service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to users and solve their problems effectively.
  • Investigate issues, identify sources, test possible solutions, and apply corrections as needed.
  • Offer guidance and training to users to maximize their use of computer systems, networks, and other applications.
  • Keep all requests and incidents up-to-date in a case management tool.
  • Act as a resource person and maintain confidentiality during routine technical support requests.

Infrastructure Maintenance

  • Install, configure, and maintain the company's computer equipment, including workstations, telephones, user accounts, and network cables.
  • Support corporate networks, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN, and other infrastructure components.
  • Install and upgrade computer stations, software, network printers, and other peripherals.
  • Manage IT department inventories and purchases.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) or Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) in a related discipline.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • CCNA/IT Certification, an asset.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in English (intermediate to advanced level).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide quality customer service.
  • Problem-solving and priority management skills.
  • Adaptability and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (PC and server).
