Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and assisting with various cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Interventional Cardiologists with cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, including coronary angiograms, PTCA/CAS, RHC/LHC, shunt calculations, and aortic and mitral valve insertions.
  • Provide patient care and support during procedures, ensuring the highest level of comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest procedures and technologies.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
Requirements
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
  • Minimum two years' recent nursing experience, preferably in ICU or Adult Emergency Room.
  • Successful completion of the Critical Care Nursing Orientation Program (CCNOP) theory and lab skills.
  • Advanced Assessment course or equivalent education preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Proficient in the use of Mac Lab or related software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a cardiac catheterization lab or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
