Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Psychiatric Nurse/Registered Nurse to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.
  • Administer interventions and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Lead and collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective care strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program.
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize care and manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent, related mental health experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal customs, traditions, and values.
