Canadian Financial Regulation Expert

Fitch Ratings is seeking a highly skilled Canadian Financial Regulation Consultant to join our team. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of exam syllabuses, certification questions, and competency analysis for the Canadian Financial Services industry.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze competency lists and client requirements in the context of Canadian Financial Services industry practice and make recommendations for exam syllabus coverage.
- Design and develop exam content, including syllabuses and exam questions.
- Potentially attend regular exam committee meetings.
- Knowledge of Canadian Financial Services regulations, markets, firms, and employees.
- Understanding of the Canadian Regulatory Environment, Retail Securities, Institutional Securities, Derivatives, Supervisory roles, Director and Executive roles, Trader roles, Chief Compliance Officer roles, and Chief Financial Officer roles.
- Diligent approach focusing on high-quality exam content authoring.
- Time to dedicate to the purpose of the task.
- Appreciation of the exam governance approach.
- Performed a role in the Canadian Financial Services industry.
- Knowledge of professional or regulatory examinations.
- Understanding of the purpose and expectations of the professional qualification within the wider context of competency.
- Understanding of the format of the exam and what is possible to be tested in that format.
- Experience of authoring content for professional or regulatory exams.
