Pump Mechanic and Repairer Job Description

WJ Groundwater Canada Ltd is seeking a skilled Pump Mechanic and Repairer to join our team. As a Pump Mechanic and Repairer, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical equipment, detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions, and repairing or replacing defective machinery parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble mechanical equipment
  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts
  • Supervise other workers
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Commission systems and components
  • Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical systems failures
  • Instruct technicians and students
  • Troubleshoot problems related to equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Industrial electronics technology/technician
  • Mechanic and repair technologies/technicians, other
  • or equivalent experience
