We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Technician to support our clients' projects in Leamington, Ontario. As a key member of our team at Baird AE Inc., you will play a crucial role in drafting concept plans, site plans, and other required documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Draft high-quality concept plans, site plans, and other project-related documentation
- Support project teams with report writing and documentation
- Conduct technical assessments and data analysis for land use and development projects
- Prepare and submit planning and development applications
- Liaise with clients, municipalities, and agencies for project coordination
- Assist in coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams
- Review complex planning and development applications
- Provide development support to other disciplines
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure project requirements are met
- Graduate of an accredited Planning Technician Program
- Minimum 2 years of technical planning work experience
- Membership in the Canadian Association of Certified Planning Technicians
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D Visualizations, and Presentation Graphics
- Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems and related software
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing documentation
- Familiarity with Planning and Development processes, Building Legislation, Municipal and Provincial Guidelines, and Standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills
$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
