Job Summary

This position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) in our Virtual Nursing Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in our unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as eating, toileting, and mobility
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
  • Participate in patient care planning and implementation
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements
  • Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate
  • Healthcare Aide certificate with previous experience
  • Membership in the Ontario Personal Support Worker Association (optional)
  • Current certification in CPR
  • Patient care experience in an acute care setting (preferred)
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
