Job Summary:

The Food Service Attendant - Patient Meal Service is responsible for participating in the preparation, assembly, and distribution of patient meal service following safe food handling practices. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assemble patient meal trays according to defined portion sizes and tray tickets.
  • Stock and replenish food and supplies in designated areas.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, smallwares, and service areas.
  • Deliver carts to designated areas and participate in Quality Assurance Programs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in food service is an asset.
  • Minimum Grade 10, Manitoba Standards required.
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
  • Ability to work as a team member and independently in a time-sensitive environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • The strength demands of the job are rated as medium, handling 20 to 45lbs.
  • Position involves bending, gripping, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods of time.
  • Exposure to chemical cleaning supplies.
