High Speed Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to join our team.
About the Role:This role involves designing and developing high-speed analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits for optical communication products.

About the Job:In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, architecting, and developing high-speed analog/mixed-signal ICs for optical communication products.
- Liaising with other teams, including packaging and hardware design, to ensure signal and power integrity specifications are met.
- Mentoring and collaborating with team members to achieve shared goals.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A BSEE degree with 12+ years of experience or equivalent, or an MS degree with 8+ years of experience, or a PhD with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent.
- Experience in designing, simulating, and measuring high-speed ICs in areas such as high-speed serial links, voltage regulators, high-performance output drivers, high-performance phase locked loops, opamps, and programmable gain amplifiers.
- Strong knowledge of CMOS technology and design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
We also welcome candidates with experience in electrical transceiver applications, FinFET technology, characterization over PVT, electromigration analysis, power and IR drop analysis, solid ESD laboratory practices, construction of test setups, experience in using high-frequency test equipment, Spectre/APS/SpectreX, layout validation tools, post-layout extraction, EMX, mixed signal simulations in AMS, and Matlab.
Compensation and Benefits:We offer a competitive salary range of $170,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Additionally, we provide benefits such as quality medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, numerous wellbeing offerings, paid time off, paid holidays, and opportunities for career growth and development.
