Director of Operations and Labour Relations

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Labour Relations and Operations team as a Director of Labour Relations and Operations. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Labour Relations, Membership Services, and Finance team to ensure efficient operations and delivery of services.
- Oversee legislated and contractual representation obligations, providing sound advice to senior leadership.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with by-laws and collective agreements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to achieve organizational objectives and manage finances in alignment with budgetary guidelines.
- Provide training and oversight to ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- An undergraduate degree in Labour Relations/Industrial Relations or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fluent bilingualism in English and French is a must.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience with an emphasis on public administration and/or labour law discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience.
- Minimum 5 years of substantial experience representing a complainant in a grievance procedure or before an administrative tribunal.
