Director of Operations and Labour Relations

Lrostaffing is seeking a highly experienced and bilingual professional to lead a dynamic team as their Director of Operations and Labour Relations. This senior management position is responsible for supporting the operational, political, and strategic goals of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop the internal Labour Relations, Membership Services, and Finance team to ensure efficient operations and delivery of services.
- Legislative Compliance: Manage and oversee legislated and contractual representation obligations to ensure compliance with relevant authorities.
- Strategic Advice: Provide assistance and sound advice to the National President and Council on labour-related matters.
- Operational Efficiency: Lead the internal team to ensure efficient operations and delivery of services, aligning with organizational goals and budgetary guidelines.
- Training and Development: Provide training and oversight to ensure compliance with by-laws and collective agreements.
- Labour Legislative Authorities: Advise on multi-jurisdictional labour legislative authorities and ensure compliance.
- Policies and Procedures: Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to support the organization's objectives.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to achieve objectives and manage finances in alignment with organizational goals and budgetary guidelines.
The successful candidate will have:
- An undergraduate degree in Labour Relations/Industrial Relations or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Fluent bilingualism in English and French is a must.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with an emphasis on public administration and/or labour law discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of substantial experience representing a complainant in a grievance procedure or before an administrative tribunal.
- Experience in related areas such as advocacy, community organizing, or labour education is an asset.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $135,000 per annum, dependent on experience. The successful candidate will follow a hybrid working arrangement and have free parking available onsite.
