Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the head chef in preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
Work Environment
