Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist to join our team at United Tarps And Repair Ltd. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and metal fabrication, with experience in operating various welding machines and equipment. You will also be responsible for examining welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications, as well as maintaining and performing minor repairs on welding equipment.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also be responsible for providing awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-40 hour work week. The work language is English.

  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities
