Job Summary

GHD is a leading professional services company operating in the global markets of water, energy, and resources, environment, property, and buildings, and transportation. As a Regional Market Leader, you will be responsible for developing business opportunities, building and strengthening our Water business through the delivery of projects, technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring our people while offering innovative solutions for our internal, existing, and new clients across public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a Regional Market Business Plan to increase GHD's market share and diversify the portfolio of private and public sector clients across the Region.
  • Design and execute a strategy to increase GHD's market share and promote growth and sustainable profitability.
  • Ensure a coordinated approach to maintaining client management systems, capturing regular contact and meetings with key clients.
  • Promote relationships with existing and potential clients in the Region and increase business by improving client relationships and strengthening repeat business.
  • Expand the client base by promoting GHD's services proactively.
  • Proactively collaborate with other Market Sector Leaders to position and win multidisciplinary projects within the Region.
  • Represent and promote GHD at networking events, professional and industrial associations, society meetings, and conferences.
  • Input on major tenders/bids and proposals.
  • Identify areas of practice within the Region, based on client feedback and market trends that require enhancement to meet present or future opportunities.

Requirements

  • University degree in any field relating to the role (engineering, environmental, etc).
  • Member of a recognized license association (P.Eng, Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), etc).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a leader.
  • Minimum of 15 years in project management for key projects.
  • Established client base in mining and energy and resources-related business markets.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, both verbal and written (English/French).
  • Capability to manage priorities and intervene as needed.
  • Ability to adapt leadership style according to team composition.
  • Good emotional intelligence.
  • Expertise to gather, influence, and motivate a group of professionals.
  • Excellent people management and mentoring skills.
  • Team player with leadership skills.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams in the bidding, clarification, negotiation, and development of projects.
