Project Engineer

Lycopodium Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our growing projects team in Mississauga. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance in the planning, designing, evaluating, executing, and handover of assigned projects in accordance with company, client, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with project-specific requirements and current industry work codes and standards.
  • Contribute to project control activities, including scheduling, forecasting, and other deliverables to a consistently high standard.
  • Assist with and perform procurement, inspection, and expediting activities.
  • Develop and maintain project quality management facilities to ensure project quality targets and reporting are met.
  • Prepare contract scope of works and commercial tender reviews.
  • Carry out assigned project activities, including site engineer duties, in a manner that prioritizes safety, environment, community, and industrial relations.
  • Participate in project quality management processes, including inspections at vendor premises and review of vendor quality documentation.
  • Contribute to estimating and scheduling components of scoping, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare construction reports, contracts, and schedules, managing tender and contract documentation for review in accordance with quality assurance.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to meet project design criteria and deliverables.
  • Register and file all relevant project documentation in accordance with company-approved procedures.
  • Support other team members as required to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Travel on an ad-hoc basis to suit business needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years' postgraduate experience in a similar position.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across all business units.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Proactively seek and accept guidance and feedback from subject matter experts.
  • Driven and determined to achieve objectives through continued professional development.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment.
  • Solid technical aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
