About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at GHD. As a key member of our Engineering Design Organization, you will play a critical role in the development and growth of our Civil practice.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with Business Leads and Managers to deliver high-quality civil design solutions for linear infrastructure projects.
  2. Coordinate all aspects of civil design, including design development, budgeting, and scheduling.
  3. Develop and verify technical scopes of projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
  4. Participate in design coordination meetings and address critical issues to ensure project success.
  5. Work closely with the engineering group to facilitate decision-making related to civil design.
  6. Ensure quality control processes are followed, and mentor junior staff to develop their skills.
  7. Represent GHD at client meetings, providing expert advice and guidance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • A Professional Engineering (P. Eng) license with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
  • Minimum 10 years of extensive technical design experience, with a focus on civil design delivery for larger, multi-discipline projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in working in a Design Build environment.
  • A detailed understanding of local Agency (or equivalent) Codes and Standards.
  • Experience working in an integrated 3D environment.
  • Strong team building and mentoring skills.
