Child and Family Service Specialist

Job Summary
Rural and Northern Child and Family Services is seeking a dedicated Child and Family Service Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing statutory child welfare services to families and children within our designated geographical area.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct intakes, abuse investigations, and develop case plans to ensure child safety
- Coordinate support services and work with collateral community agencies
- Assist with after-hour services to children and families
Requirements
- Ability to work from a strength-based social work practice
- Effective interpersonal skills to develop positive working relationships
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
Working Conditions
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must provide a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search
- Must have and maintain a valid full stage class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle
Qualifications
- Essential: Ability to identify signs of child abuse and neglect, effective written communication skills, and strong verbal communication skills
- Desired: Case management experience, ability to conduct safety assessments, and ability to conduct child abuse investigations
