**Job Summary:** We invite applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Critical Surveillance and Security Studies. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in surveillance and security technologies, critical approaches to postcolonial surveillance, and human rights and resistance.

**About Us:** The Faculty of Social Sciences is comprised of nine departments, schools, and institutes, offering undergraduate, Master's, and doctoral programs in both English and French. Our graduate students are supervised by excellent researchers and undertake cutting-edge research in our Master's and Ph.D. programs.

**Salary:** The salary scale for an Assistant Professor starts at $89,622 (as of May 1, 2023), with opportunities for growth and advancement based on performance.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:** A PhD in Criminology, Sociology, Political Science, Human Geography, Communications, or a related field with specialization in surveillance and security. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence or potential for excellence in teaching and research and be able to teach in French at the time of hiring.
