Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to lead and support our Peterborough Fuel Bundle Assembly Production team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for communicating business goals, programs, and processes to the production team, and utilizing your experience and expertise to solve problems and develop objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Communication: Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes to the production team.
  • Problem-Solving and Objectives: Utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems and develop objectives for self and others.
  • Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop production line manufacturing plans consistent with the goals and objectives of the operations department annual budget plan.
  • Staffing and Training: Arrange for and provide adequate staffing to meet the production schedules set by production planning, and create and oversee an employee training schedule that emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain monthly inventories to business and customer expectations, and manage shop floor inventory of materials to ensure sufficient WIP throughout processes.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Support and facilitate Lean Manufacturing principles by providing adequate training for project teams to accomplish continuous improvement projects.
  • Culture and Performance: Network with leaders to develop a strong culture where employees are motivated to achieve business goals, and work with HR and management to develop a performance-oriented work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in an operations or management position) in business, industrial management, or engineering.
  • Experience: At least 3 additional years of manufacturing supervision experience.
  • Skills: Ability to plan, communicate, and execute, ability to deal fairly and equitably with all employees, strong organizational skills, and unionized environment experience is preferred.
What We Offer
