Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to join our team at Fed IT as an IT Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and security of our company's network and IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and manage our company's Microsoft servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Manage communication equipment, including firewalls, switches, routers, and point-to-point wireless access.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our company network, identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to enhance security.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance, availability, and security of our IT environments, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.
  • Manage user access and permissions on the network, as well as Office 365 services.
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts, logs, and reports to identify potential threats and take corrective action.
  • Document and maintain network management documentation and processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Manage system updates and maintenance outside of regular working hours.
Requirements:
  • DEC in Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in server and network equipment administration.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 to 2022 environments, including Active Directory, GPO, file servers, and other components.
  • Good understanding of network principles, including DHCP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, TCP/IP routing, and SD-WAN.
  • Knowledge of cloud services, including Microsoft Office 365 and Azure.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle.
  • Microsoft certification, CISSP, GIAC, or other relevant certifications (asset).
  • Knowledge of industry standards, including ISO27001/2, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS, ITIL, and COBIT (asset).
