About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Expert to join our Research and Innovation team, responsible for supporting the development of new products for the USA market.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, project management, regulatory, R&D, supply chain, and finance to identify optimal product development pathways and feasibility.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct extensive literature reviews on current and new ingredients/products
  • Review technical material from suppliers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop research-based safety and efficacy documents for regulatory submissions and provide research support in product amendment processes
  • Work with buyers to source desired new raw materials and negotiate prices
  • Liaise with third-party manufacturers to develop and launch new products
  • Plan and execute internal studies to assess potential products and ingredients
  • Propose new formulas for products based on research and marketing objectives and collaborate with R&D to optimize formulations
  • Lead project taskforce meetings for the USA Innovation business unit and identify new ingredient trends and product opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, Nutrition, or Biomedical Sciences with at least 3 years of experience in the industry or a Master's degree in a related field with at least 1 year of experience
  • Experience designing formulas for US compliance (DSHEA, Prop 65) is a strong asset
  • Strong research skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills are essential
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and literature search engines is required

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits, including access to comprehensive group benefits, RRSP matching, and employee share purchase plan, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
