We are seeking a qualified Elementary Teacher to join our team at Echo Dene School in the Dehcho Divisional Education Council.

**About the Role:**

This is a 1-year term position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students in a JK-K through grade 12 school with an enrollment of 105 students. The school supports language and cultural heritage of the students in an inclusive environment that respects the diverse styles and needs of all learners.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Must hold or be eligible for an NWT Teaching Certificate.
• Bachelor of Education
• Training and/or experience in Alberta and BC curricula.
• Ability to work collaboratively in the planning, delivery, and assessment of programs and students.
• Training and teaching experience in cross-cultural and multi-grade inclusive classroom settings.
• Knowledge of and/or experience with Fountas & Pinnell Balanced Literacy, Differentiated Instruction, and Self-Regulation.
• Experience using strength-based assessment and competency-based reporting.
• Ability to teach virtually using Google Classroom is an asset.
