Job Title: Mental Health Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Mental Health Clinician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with mental health and substance use issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for clients with mental health and substance use issues.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, focusing on evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to enhance services and support for clients.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate degree in a mental health and substance use related discipline, plus two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations and present with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and evidence-based practices.
