This role will collaborate with W'SANEC Health Directors and their communities to develop comprehensive accountability measures and support for general practitioners. The position will be part of a larger on-reserve team providing services to Indigenous communities.
The position will start at Tsawout First Nation and transition to the WSANEC clinic when ready. Providers will utilize a hub and spoke model to deliver services in other W'SANEC communities.
Preferred experience includes working with First Nations communities, demonstrating commitment to Indigenous cultural safety and anti-racist practice, and knowledge of Indigenous worldviews and health and wellness.
After hours expectation includes Opioid Agonist Treatment for patients, including initiation, follow-up, and stabilization, as well as collaboration with MHSU and other primary care providers.
Located in Central Saanich, Saanichton is a friendly village that mixes suburban residential and rural agricultural communities together.
