Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Mental Health Nurse Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential health-related advice and support to educators within schools, as well as developing individual care plans for clients with mental health and addictions needs.

As a Mental Health Nurse Specialist, you will be working closely with mental health workers to provide comprehensive care to students with mental health and addiction issues.

Responsibilities
  • Provide health-related advice and support to educators within schools
  • Develop individual care plans for clients with mental health and addictions needs
  • Work collaboratively with mental health workers to provide comprehensive care
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other relevant individuals to ensure successful care plan implementation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Knowledge of the mental health and addictions service system for children and youth
  • Direct clinical experience in providing mental health and/or addictions services for children and youth
  • Solid knowledge of healthcare-related legislation and practices
  • Advanced assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills
  • Ability to practice independently and interdependently
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with computerized information systems

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
