Job Title: Registration Specialist

BCIT's Registrar's Office is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Student Information and Enrolment Services Department, you will provide critical support in the daily operation of our office, ensuring seamless student registration and enrolment processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process class cancellations and course changes, ensuring accurate and timely updates to student records.
  • Conduct statistical reporting and analysis to inform departmental decision-making and improve service standards.
  • Collaborate with Student Services departments, such as Program Advising and Enrolment Management, to provide comprehensive support to students.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to employees on Banner Access and Cisco systems.
  • Reconcile and audit financial processes and procedures related to BCIT policy 2300.
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 plus completion of up to one year post-secondary training in Business or Computer Systems.
  • Two years general work experience in a Registrar's office, with one year's experience in a similar position with lead-hand responsibilities.
  • Extensive experience in an automated student registration system, including working knowledge of Banner and an automated telephone system.
