Job Title: Clinician

Are you passionate about helping others and making a difference in your community? We are seeking a skilled Clinician to join our Specialized Services department at Northern Health Authority.

Job Summary:

As a Clinician, you will provide primary therapeutic, case management, and mental health and substance use support services to assigned clients. You will work under the administrative direction of the Team Lead/designate and collaborate with the inter-professional clinical team to develop and implement care plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide therapeutic and case management services to clients in hospital, residential, or community settings.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the inter-professional clinical team.
  • Assess and treat clients using evidence-based approaches and trauma-informed care.
  • Teach clients and others in groups and one-on-one settings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the public using verbal, written, and computer communication means.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate degree in a mental health and substance use related discipline.
  • Two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data to problem-solve and make decisions effectively.
  • Competence in common mental health and substance use related risk assessments and behavioral care planning.
  • Ability to promote client-focused care and create culturally safe, trauma-informed health care settings.
