Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement recreational programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a seamless delivery of services.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Degree in Recreation or completion of the Recreation Facilitator for Older Adults Certificate or equivalent.
  • Valid Food Handling Certificate.
  • Related experience in long-term care and/or with disabled individuals.
  • Experience with the use of personal computers in a Windows environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mental and physical ability to meet the demands of the job.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and work independently or as a team member.
  • Demonstrated group facilitation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Current Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector and Adult Abuse Registry check deemed satisfactory by the Employer.
