About the Role

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for performing or assisting in a variety of quality control and inspection work, ensuring that all standards, processes, specifications, codes and regulations are met for overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinates and maintains the Joy Global Canada Quality Control program and manuals.
  2. Conducts inspection of individual scope of work in progress and at completion to resolve repetitive rework and determine root cause.
  3. Coordinates document and quality control to ensure quality assurance goals are maintained.
  4. Assists in determining processes and process improvement.
  5. Executes the inspection and signoff of projects and worksheets.
  6. Documents processes to ensure overall project consistency.
  7. Maintains relationships with third party inspectors.
  8. Controls all welder records and logs and verifies welding is completed as per approved CWB.
  9. Provides quality control updates at production meetings as required.

Requirements:

  1. Journeyperson trade certificate or equivalent experience with practical knowledge of supervising welding/fitting operations.
  2. CET (welding) or equivalent experience.
  3. Possesses conversant knowledge of CWB requirements.
  4. Possesses the ability to interpret engineering specifications.
  5. Ability to provide accuracy and detail in projects and reports.
  6. Possesses intermediate computer skills, specifically with MS Office.
  7. Ability to work effectively with team members and yet be independent and self-reliant when completing tasks.
  8. Demonstrates interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  9. Demonstrates initiative and is a proactive problem solver.
  10. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
  11. Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks quickly.
  12. SAP (preferred), Excel, Word, eMail knowledge required.
  13. Valid driver's license is required.
