We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Improvement Specialist to join our dynamic team at Magna. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing processes.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance internal quality (ppm) and productivity (OEE)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement quality enhancements and defect prevention strategies
  • Analyze and evaluate continuous improvement opportunities to support Manufacturing Engineering
  • Prepare capital projects and acquire quotes for new equipment acquisitions
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine labor and material cost savings potential
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate product information (FMEA, process flow charts, instruction sheets, etc.)
  • Facilitate quality and productivity-related meetings and maintain meeting minutes
  • Update measurables, presentation materials, and tracking documents for QOS reviews
  • Identify and implement labor-saving opportunities (direct and indirect)
  • Assist in coordinating new production equipment implementation and operator training
About You:

We are looking for a results-driven individual with a strong focus on continuous improvement. If you are a self-motivated team player excited about fast-paced manufacturing processes, we encourage you to apply.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Completion of community college diploma/certificate
  • 3-5 years of work-related experience
  • Knowledge of FMEA is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of MRP systems is an asset
