Senior Loss Appraiser

At Aviva, we're committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers. As a Large Loss Appraiser, you'll play a critical role in assessing and managing complex claims, ensuring that our customers receive the support they need during difficult times.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and evaluate large loss claims, ensuring accurate and timely assessments
- Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize losses
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including claims adjusters and suppliers, to ensure seamless claim processing
- Provide expert analysis and recommendations to support claim decisions
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in loss appraisal or a related field
- Strong knowledge of commercial and residential building construction practices
- Expertise in Xactimate scoping and estimating
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Post-secondary education or working towards completion of the Insurance Institute program (CIP/FCIP)
