Windsor City Pollution Control Manager

City of Windsor is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the Pollution Control Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment systems, including the Lou Romano Water Reclamation Plant, Little River Pollution Control Plant and the Windsor Biosolids Processing Facility.
About the RoleThis position reports directly to the Commissioner, Infrastructure Services, and is accountable for ensuring compliance with provincial legislative and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in environmental assessment studies, design, construction and commissioning of wastewater treatment and pumping station systems.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing and administering annual and multi-year departmental capital and operating budgets, engaging in labour relations, and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A Master's Degree in Science or Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Civil or similar), or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency, combined with a minimum of six (6) year's experience in a managerial capacity in an Operations or Pollution Control environment;
- OR A University Degree in Science or Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Civil or similar), or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency, combined with a minimum of ten (10) year's experience in a managerial capacity in an Operations or Pollution Control environment;
- A licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation;
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal skills, as well as proven organizational traits;
- A valid and lawful Class G Driver's Licence for the purposes of operating a City of Windsor vehicle.

We offer a competitive salary range of $151,290.06 to $183,893.79 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
