Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

HARROOP TRUCKING LTD. is seeking a reliable and skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, working as part of a two-person team or convoy. You will load and unload goods, obtain special permits and documents, and operate and drive straight or articulated trucks. You will also oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections. You will receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo. You will have a valid driver's license, be willing to travel cross-border, and be willing to travel for extended periods. You will also be organized, reliable, and a team player.
