**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Black & McDonald Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting, and repairing all HVAC equipment within our facilities to achieve optimum life span of equipment.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance and operations, with strong technical capabilities in building systems and equipment. They will be able to work independently with limited supervision and maintain a professional demeanor with fellow employees and customers.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Perform monthly preventative maintenance as directed by the supervisor, including site inspections and documentation.
  • Respond to emergency trouble calls of a mechanical nature and support other staff in their tasks.
  • Support mechanical maintenance duties, including minor repairs, changing belts, and replacing filters.
  • Coordinate minor repairs, including replacing flush valves and faucets, clearing toilets and drains, and resetting breakers.
  • Utilize CMMS to demonstrate and document work performed on building assets and service to tenants.
  • Order and maintain supply inventory.
  • Oversee repair and maintenance tasks performed by sub-trades.
  • Ensure maximum operation of equipment and inspect/operate/maintain and minor repairs for mechanical/electrical systems and equipment.

**Education Requirements**

  • Knowledge and understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical systems and BAS.

**Work Experience Requirements**

  • 2-3 years' facilities maintenance and operations experience.
  • Strong technical capabilities in building systems and equipment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required with ability to follow instructions both written and verbal.
  • Always maintain a professional demeanor with fellow employees and customers.
  • Maintain clear and courteous phone etiquette.

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Security clearance requirements.
  • Maintain a valid G license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces and/or working at heights.
  • Bending and lifting (under 30kg) required.
