Baker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Centre Expo Festival/Acadian Musical village. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked treats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to recipes and special customer orders.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Operate machinery and maintain inventory.
  • Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to train staff and lead a team.
