Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Cardiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, and holter monitoring, as well as analyzing and interpreting test results.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct ECG testing, stress testing, and holter monitoring to diagnose and monitor cardiovascular conditions.
  2. Explain procedures and answer patient questions to ensure a smooth testing process.
  3. Analyze and interpret test results to provide accurate diagnoses and recommendations.
  4. Assist with pacemaker interrogation, monitoring, and documentation as required.
  5. Enter patient test information into Meditech to provide Electronic Health Records database for client/patient files.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient files and reports according to established department procedures/policies.
  7. Provide training and orientation to new staff and students on ECG testing procedures and equipment operation.
  8. Maintain equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and replacing items as required, and complete requisitions for repair using established procedures.
  9. Distribute patient reports to appropriate wards and/or departments.
  10. Contribute to the development, implementation, and update of department policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Completion of a recognized Cardiology Technology Program at the Diploma level, plus two (2) years recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting equipment as required.
