About the Role

Laporte Experts-Conseils is a leading engineering firm specializing in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, and industrial engineering. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Quebec City.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop HVAC and plumbing systems for factories and laboratories.
  • Develop utility systems, including steam, hydronic networks, compressed air, and clean gas systems.
  • Prepare technical specifications and studies, including principle studies, feasibility studies, and preliminary design reports.
  • Conduct surveys of existing installations, improve existing systems, and develop new solutions that take into account existing infrastructure.
  • Evaluate building mechanics construction cost budgets.
  • Participate in site monitoring and services during construction.
  • Conduct energy optimization studies.
  • Manage projects from start to finish.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec.
  • 2 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in consulting engineering and/or in a factory in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or food fields is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized software, such as AutoCAD and Revit.
