Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Project Manager - Mechanical Discipline. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of up to 5 people in the mechanical discipline, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop detailed engineering projects in an industrial setting
  • Establish design bases and develop concepts
  • Dimension and select equipment
  • Evaluate project costs
  • Define and apply technical standards required for the project
  • Prepare specification lists
  • Prepare and seal bids, drawings, and proposals
  • Work with the mechanical team and project teams
  • Coordinate project activities as the mechanical discipline representative (Lead Mechanical)
  • Ensure quality control of deliverables produced by project team members in mechanical discipline
  • Develop the work plan for the discipline in terms of deliverables and deadlines for project completion
  • Complete projects according to the established plan
  • Manage the team's hourly budgets on projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Member of the Order of Engineers of the Province (OIQ)
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in heavy industry and/or manufacturing
  • Experience in piping and pressure equipment, material handling, and industrial equipment
  • Experience in engineering consulting
  • Knowledge of ASME codes
  • Bilingual (French and English: spoken and written)
