We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at PyroGenesis Canada Inc. as a Mechanical Engineer. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of gas treatment equipment for biogas recovery and industrial gas purification.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop mechanical systems for gas treatment equipment, including pressure vessels and process piping.
- Perform mechanical strength calculations for vessels and piping systems according to ASME and CSA codes.
- Support structure calculations for vessels and skids.
- Prepare MTO (Material Take-off) and TPS (Technical Purchase Specification) for procurement of materials.
- Develop detailed general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, and plot plans using AutoCAD.
- Assist the sales team with preliminary weight estimation and plot plan drawing.
- Provide technical clarification and discussion with customers and vendors.
- Follow up on procurement and fabrication of equipment, both internal and external.
- Identify and supervise external consultants as required.
- Supervise and organize system installation and start-up.
- Supervise subcontractors during system installation, as required.
- Interact directly with clients, including meetings and documentation.
- Perform other duties as required by the immediate supervisor and for which the person is qualified.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Member of the OIQ - Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
- Demonstrated leadership/managerial ability combined with personal humility, with strong references.
- Proficient with 2D drafting, 3D modeling, drawing review, and checking.
- Expertise with CADworx, CAESAR II, PV Elite, PDMS, AutoCAD 3D, or Auto Plant is an asset.
- Experience in gas emission system design, process gas, and biogas purification and upgrading plant design is an asset.
- A good knowledge of MS Project is an asset.
- Organized individual who is also a team player, able to deliver projects on time and under pressure.
- Willing to travel overseas as required.
- Knowledge of French and English (written and spoken) is an asset.
- Successful candidate for the Mechanical Design Engineer with at least 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
