The Job Description
This role requires a professional with a strong background in municipal governance, land use planning, and public administration. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the provincial government and its land use policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective government relations strategies to achieve client goals
- Provide strategic advice to clients on navigating complex regulatory environments
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, politicians, and industry leaders
- Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in government relations
- Prepare and present written reports and presentations to clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies
- Stay up-to-date with changes in government policies and regulations
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective government relations strategies
- Strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials and politicians
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
