The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of public policy and the federal government, with a proven track record of delivering government/media relations strategy, conducting complex research, issues monitoring & reporting, and driving results for clients.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated and entrepreneurial team, passionate about building powerful connections between ideas, people, and actions.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada indefinitely. Candidates based in Toronto will be required to work out of FHR's Toronto location 3 days per week. Candidates based in Ottawa will predominately work from home, however, will be required to meet with team members and clients in person, as required.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective government relations strategies to achieve client objectives
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to inform client advice and decision-making
  • BUILD and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and government officials
  • Support the development of integrated public affairs programs, including campaign planning, execution, and evaluation
  • Contribute to the growth and success of our Public Affairs and Corporate Reputation practice groups
