Position Overview:
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) is a naval research activity operating under the direction of the Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). We provide research, development, test, and evaluation, engineering analysis, and assessment, as well as Fleet support capabilities for submarines, autonomous underwater vehicles/systems, and undersea weapon systems.
The NUWCDIVNPT Electromagnetic Systems Department (Code 34) performs a wide range of engineering and program management functions in support of the design of programs and products that provide tactical and strategic combat systems and special mission sensors for U.S. Navy platforms.
We're seeking talented individuals to join the QinetiQ Team in support of acquisition program management, in-service management, financial/budgetary planning and execution, and internal information technology and information assurance processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Support DoD unclassified and classified networks
- Configure, deploy, operate, and maintain Windows workstations and server operating systems, Windows Server 2016 or newer, and Linux operating systems
- Hardening of Windows workstation and server environments, including implementation of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical and Implementation Guide (STIG) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAV) compliance
- Provide Information Technology (IT)/Information Assurance (IA) Customer Support Services
- Support SharePoint IT/IA administration, including Web parts, Web pages, Document libraries, Calendars
- Perform vulnerability scanning, vulnerability analysis, and reporting
- Hybrid working environment (50% Government Site / 50% Remote)
Required Qualifications:
- Possesses at a minimum Security+ CE certification, or equivalent certifications at a minimum of the IAT Level II, as found at the following website: DoD Approved Certifications
- Possesses Windows 10 or higher Operating System certification
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance
- Possesses Windows Server 2016 or higher Operating System certification
- Meets the requirements equivalent to SECNAV M-5239.2 Appendix 4, specialty Area Code 45 – System Administration at an Intermediate or Advanced Level
