About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Relational Database Services (RDS) team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, architecting, and optimizing our platform to deliver high-reliability and scalable database services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the design and architecture of our platform, ensuring it meets the needs of our customers and is scalable, reliable, and secure.
  2. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure the highest quality of our software.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
